When asked an unexpected difficult question, The Terri Ammerman Group believes a short pause of five to seven seconds can make you appear thoughtful before you give an answer.

This week Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took that concept to a new level when he waited 21 seconds before answering a question about President Trump’s handling of street demonstrations.

Was the pause too long? Should Trudeau have anticipated the question and been more prepared with an answer? Take a look and tell us what you think.

Ultimately, Trudeau delivered his message effectively and we give him points for that. But the pause was probably too long for a question that should not have surprised him. We would love to hear your opinion, so feel free to give us some feedback.

We want our clients to know that we are thinking about you as the economy begins to open. Although the pandemic is not yet behind us, The Terri Ammerman Group is now ready to safely resume communications training in person.
